The transportation department has hundreds of millions of dollars tied up in near future projects on high-capacity, north-south running highways. But the state says work also needs to be done on several east-west routes that feed into them.
“We have a lot of great north-south projects going on,” UDOT Region One Director Lisa Wilson recently told state transportation commissioners. “(But) with all the development that’s occurring and the growth going in … we do have some eat-west corridors that are going to need some attention.”
